The Last 19 Waltz
What a classy group gathered on 05.29.15 to mark the final day of 50 years of recording at Studio 19. The honor went to Mark Collie, who, along with his brother John, had worked on the studio in its early days. He recorded a little gem called "Honeysuckle Serenade" with Ronnie Bowman and Bob Williams on guitar, Dow Tomlin on bass, Pete Young on drums and Kyle Hershman at the board rolling 2" tape! The last song recorded was Collie's nostalgic nod to the moment called "The Last 19 Waltz". Thanks, Larry, for taking us in. We are so grateful we got to spend these last years at Studio 19. Great music, great people, great memories! |

End of an Era for Windy Holler Music
As many of you know, Studio 19, our home in Nashville for the past 4 years, has been sold and is
scheduled for demolition. Our hearts are broken at this terrible loss but we are fortunate to be
moving to new digs in the RCA Building. Nashville has become a boomtown in recent years and the
destruction of historic sites and condo-ization of Music Row and Midtown seems to roll on un-abated
every day. However, there are concerned voices and some stories with happy endings. The 11th hour
rescue of the RCA Building by local entrepreneur/philanthropist, Aubrey Preston, is one of these. We
are grateful for the wonderful years we have had at Studio 19 and especially to Larry Rogers.
After June 1st, find us at 30 Music Square, W., Ste. 200, Nashville, TN 37203.

Received a warm welcome from the great folks at Trinity and a delicious "pot-luck" First Sunday Dinner after the service! |

Grammy Block Party, 05.13.14 Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of food, drink and music in Owen Bradley Park for the 16th annual Grammy Block Party. Aussie group "For King and Country" brought it into the crowd and Martina rocked the stage assisted by her sassy singers and horn section. AV was here to rehearse with his band for tomorrow's set at Crossroads Arena in Corinth, MS opening for Sawyer Brown. We'll be there! |

In 1935, in the northeast Mississippi town of Tupelo, the King of Rock and Roll was born. The Americana Music Triangle is made up of cities like Memphis, Nashville, and New Orleans, but only Tupelo can lay claim to the Birthplace of the King. Elvis Presley was born to very humble beginnings but grew to legendary status bringing thousands of people to the Elvis Presley Birthplace each year. The Birthplace Sessions are filmed on the scenic front porch of Elvis’ first home. Artists selected to participate are invited to showcase their individual sound in an acoustic setting which is filmed in one take. |
